Project Taran
The once-picturesque most sought out tourist destination, the Akkulam lake has turned into a garbage pile due to the rise in construction works on its banks during the last five years. It has further been affected by the humungous accumulation of water hyacinth over the years.
We, the students have decided to come forward to do our part on the issue.
The TPLC wing has joined hands with the ICI students chapter of GECB for a long term collaborative project that aims at the effective restoration as well as renovation of our dying lake tourist village as part of GECB Technical Flagship Event, 42. Mr.Nandan, Chairman of IEEE Kerala section handed over the project leaflet to the Head of the project, Nanma Gireesh Translational Civil Engineer and Batch Coordinator, TPLC and Althaf A, Chairman of ICI Students Chapter of GECB for the official launch of the restorative project Taran.
